With Disney Springs in Walt Disney World recently reopening, and Shanghai Disneyland completely reopened, it’sno surprise that Disneyland Resort will soon see its own reopening.
On 9th July, Downtown Disney’s unique shopping and dining experiences will be ready to enjoy again, including the massive World of Disney store. There will be new guidelines in place to keep guests and cast members safe, including physical distancing and improved cleanliness throughout the shopping district.
The parks are set to reopen on 17th July. There will be a big limit on the capacity to ensure that everyone stays safe and follows social distancing guidelines. This will be measured by a new reservation system which will be in place for both regular guests and annual pass holders. This means that everyone will have to have a reservation for the park before they arrive, rather than buying on the gate.
However, that’s not all that will change. Character meet and greets will be temporarily stopped, however, characters will still be around the parks with new ways to entertain guests and keep the magic alive. Parades and nighttime shows will also be stopped as they draw huge crowds, which have to be avoided.
Some hotels and villas will reopen on 23rd July. There will be increased cleanliness measures and more health and safety guidelines in place. This is great because it means that guests from further away can enjoy the parks just as long as the locals without worrying about driving home the same day.
Walt Disney World is being patrolled by Stormtroopers so you might see them around Disneyland too.
