If you haven’t heard of the D23 Expo, where have you been? It’s the biggest Disney convention around and shares all the latest info on upcoming films, parks, and news along with exclusive shows and panels.
With there being so many new Star Wars attractions, it’s no surprise we had some amazing announcements like these.
Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode II
The VR series is a continuation of the first episode of the VR series, set before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You’re a Force-sensitive smuggler who learns the ways of the Force from Darth Vader himself – you’ll even be able to train by yourself. The Darkghast is a brand new character exclusive to the VR series, although he might look familiar, you’ve never seen him before.
Armour collection
LucasFilm brought along a collection of Stormtrooper armour from every episode over its 40-year life. It included:
Scout Trooper from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
Imperial Tie Fighter Pilot The name speaks for itself really. It was worn by Tie Fighter pilots.
Shoretroopers from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Captain Phasma, the shiny armour worn by Captain Phasma
Sith Trooper from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the final film in the Skywalker saga.
First Order Jet Trooper, a never-before-seen armour exclusive to D23 Expo which will be seen in The Rise of Skywalker.
Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser
With the new Star Wars lands at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, it’s no surprise there is more Star Wars news coming our way. At Walt Disney World, a new experience is coming – a two-day cruise on the Halycon. Live out your story alongside the crew, passengers, and characters while looking out the windows into space. It will include dining, a day on Batuu at Galaxy’s Edge, and special activities such as learning to use a lightsaber.
The Mandalorian
This will be a new series on Disney+, in which Star Wars and Avengers come together. It’s set after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the First Order. It will come to Disney+ on 12th November 2020.
Obi-Wan Kenobi returns!
Ewan McGregor took to the stage to confirm that he will return to Star Wars as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new, untitled series from LucasFilm. The series will come to Disney+, but you’ll have to wait for this one as it doesn’t even have a title yet!
