It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Disneyland Paris has announced its festive season for 2019.
Disney’s Enchanted Christmas will run between November 9th 2019 and January 6th 2020, and here’s what you can look forward to this year.
The return of #SurpriseMickey
Last year over in the Studios, we were treated to #SurpriseMickey as part of the World’s Biggest Mouse Party. The show was such a success that it will be returning to the Production Courtyard stage from November 15th. Guests can expect to see Minnie organise a surprise party for Mickey with the help of some of her friends.
The return of The Starlit Princess Waltz
The Starlit Princess Waltz will be returning to the Castle Stage in Fantasyland this year. The show debuted during the park’s 25th anniversary and also made a cameo appearance during the Pirates & Princesses Annual Pass night. Now, the show will be returning for the festive season with Princess Aurora organising a magical ball. She will be joined by Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Snow White, Tiana and their princes for what looks set to be a magical show. Check out a clip courtesy of ED92 below.
More traditional Christmas celebrations
One of the main attractions of the Christmas season (for us, anyway) is the incredible Christmas Parade which will once again be returning this year. It will take its usual route twice a day, with the likes of Mickey and friends, Winnie the Pooh and the gang, and more taking centre stage. If you’ve seen the parade before then you’re probably currently sat humming the insanely catchy song which plays during the route. All together now….”Christmas is heeeeeeere!”
From December 1st-24th, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy will be on hand to countdown to Christmas Day with The Enchanted Advent Calendar outside the castle. You can also sing along to festive carols during Let’s Sing Christmas at the Videopolis Theatre with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and a full choir. However, If you’re after a jazzier show then Mickey’s Christmas Big Band will return to Animagique Theater.
There will also be a nightly Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights show, with Mickey, Minnie and Santa bringing an enchanting Christmas experience to the park as they light up 24m tree in the middle of Main Street, USA.
Festive meet and greets
As usual, there will be many festive character meet and greets for you to experience at the parks. So far this year, it has been confirmed that Thumper and Miss Bunny will be returning, in addition to Stitch in his Christmas finery. We also can’t forget Santa who will be visiting the Meet Mickey Mouse area.
