Marvel president, Kevin Feige, has revealed that Avengers: Endgame will soon be returning to cinemas with additional footage that didn’t make the first cut.

Endgame did amazingly at the box office, currently having brought in $2.743 billion, so they’re using this in the hope of catching up with Avatar, which is currently at 2.788 billion.

At a Spiderman: Far From Home press event in London, Feige told Screenrant: “[It’s] not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theatres with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises.”

He also told “I don’t know if it’s been announced, and I don’t know how much. Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”

Although the rerelease date hasn’t been announced yet, the ‘next weekend’ he’s talking about is probably not going to clash with Toy Story 4’s opening weekend so it’s expected at the end of the month or the start of July.
