The live-action remake of Aladdin is finally in cinemas and today, the accompanying soundtrack was unveiled.
Whilst the previous trailers and additional footage released gave us a glimpse of what we could expect from the cast versions of ‘A Whole New World’ and ‘Friend Like Me’, we’ve also been left captivated by ZAYN and Zhavia Ward’s take on ‘A Whole New World’, which features in the movie’s end credits.
However, the movie also features a brand new track called ‘Speechless’, which is performed by Princess Jasmine herself, Naomi Scott. Written by Alen Menken and songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, ‘Speechless’ is Jasmine’s big breakout song in the film about finding her voice.
Earlier today, Disney released a video of Naomi delivering a spellbinding performance of the track and it’s safe to say that we’ve got goosebumps from head to toe. The new song is incredibly magical and sits beautifully amongst the classic tracks that we already know and love. It also shows off Naomi’s gorgeous vocals perfectly, proving why she is an incredible Jasmine.
Check out the video for ‘Speechless’ below.
Disney also unveiled a special sneak peek at the track within the movie, check it out below.
The Aladdin original motion picture soundtrack includes an unforgettable score from Alan Menken, in addition to new recordings of the original songs by Alan, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice. DJ Khaled also joins Will Smith (Genie) for a re-invented version of ‘Friend Like Me’.
Check out the soundtrack in full on Spotify below. The physical versions will be released tomorrow (May 24) and can be purchased here.
