Elizabeth Olsen has teased details about the forthcoming new Disney+ series, WandaVision.
Speaking to Variety at the Avengers: Endgame premiere, the actress, who plays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, revealed that the series is expected to run for six hours, with shooting to begin in the fall.
Elizabeth added that the series will apparently be set in the 1950s. “There’s quite a few other comic books that we’re pulling from and it’s going to be Wanda and the Vision, and I think at the Disney+ launch chat, they showed a photo of us in the ’50s,” she said.
WandaVision is one of the many new Marvel shows we can expect to see on Disney’s upcoming streaming service, Disney+. The series will be written and produced by Jac Schaeffer, a screenwriter for the Captain Marvel movie. It will be available in the second year following Disney+’s launch on November 12 and will be based on the “unexpected and surprising” story of Wanda /Scarlet Witch and the Vision (Paul Bettany).
Other new Marvel offerings coming to Disney+ include Loki starring Tom Hiddleston, a show focused on Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.
