As we see in the new year, we can’t help but wonder what surprises are in store for us at Walt Disney World this year.
At the Magic Kingdom, Mickey and Minnie are in the midst of the celebrations yet again. The park will showcase all-new merchandise and entertainment, as well as speciality foods and drinks around the restaurants and park. An exciting new song, “It’s a Good Time,” will play several times daily as part of the new “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party”.
Mickey and Minnie will showcase their new outfits together inside the Town Square Theatre, where guests will also have the chance to sign a guestbook to tell the couple how much fun they had at the party!
1st May 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the Hollywood Studios park, and it’s going to be celebrated all year round, starting 18th January, with all your favourite Pixar characters, including Monster’s Inc.’s Mike and Sully, who will be behind the door to the monster world!
The Incredibles will be taking over Pixar Avenue where you can find Edna Mode, Frozone, and the Incredible family themselves – if you’re lucky you might even spot Jack-Jack. They will make appearances throughout the day during a party featuring lively music, dancing, interactive games and more.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating all things Lion King this year (similarly to Disneyland Paris this summer). Join Timon and Rafiki in the “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” on Discovery Island, which will encourage young adventurers to let their inner animals roam free on the dancefloor to the beat of a street band.
Of course, Epcot International Festival of Arts will be bigger and better than ever with more broadway music than ever. From 18th January to 25th February, you will indulge in world-class culinary talents from 13 food studios, as well as additional creative food and drinks around Epcot with a selection of deliciously new tastes.
The Disney on Broadway will this year span 7 days a week during the festival, providing more opportunities than ever to hear and enjoy music from all your favourite Disney Broadway shows. The line-up will rotate regularly to feature performances from The Lion King, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and more.
To make sure no one misses a moment, guests will find a new countdown clock online. It’s rolling down to when the fun begins on the morning of 18th January 2019!
